The Railway Industry Association (RIA) has welcomed the Transport Bill announced in the Queen’s Speech which includes plans to improve the railway industry.
The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) said it is prosecuting Transport for London (TfL), FirstGroup-owned Tram Operations Limited (TOL) and driver Alfred Dorris.
The findings of the investigation into the Stonehaven train crash are “damning” and must be “a watershed moment for rail safety”, according to train drivers’ union Aslef.
