Virgin Trains has been given track access for new services between London and Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam in 2030, in a step forward for its plans to rival Eurostar.
There are “no more major hurdles to overcome” before Virgin Group can begin operating passenger trains through the Channel Tunnel following a determination by the rail regulator, the company has said.
