 ‘Hall’ plate fetches £5,250
David Lewis held his second successful auction on Saturday October 2, at Crewe Heritage Centre, Vernon Way, Crewe. The auction was well attended with the free vintage bus from the station and homemade food on offer going down very well. To add to the atmosphere, recently restored 70000 Britannia was in light steam on the yard.

On Saturday October 9, Great Central Railwayana Auctions held their latest auction at The Royal Show Ground, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. As usual this was a popular auction venue and bidding was brisk.

40 worksplate on offer
GWRA Auctions is due to hold its next auction on Saturday November 13 at Pershore High School, Station Road, Pershore, Worcestershire. It will be interesting to see if this worksplate from 40017 is as keenly contested as the one in SRA in September, especially as this one appears to be in ex-loco condition.
