Railways Illustrated is the monthly magazine devoted to British railway enthusiasts covering the modern scene. Railways Illustrated’s new editor is Pip Dunn, who has ten years experience as a specialist rail journalist as well as 25 years’ interest in railways. Pip produces the magazine through his company, Eastfield Media and uses contributors from inside and outside of the railway industry and has access to many contacts to get the best off-diary stories that do not appear in other journals.
Railways Illustrated is published on the first Friday of each month and is available at most major newsagents, station bookstalls and heritage railways. At 84 pages, RI offers the best value for money for modern traction enthusiasts in terms of ‘pound per page’ when compared with rival publications in the market place.
