Chiltern Bubbles Retire

Chiltern Railways finally retired its two Class 121 Bubble Cars on May 19.  The company ran the two (121020 and 121034) as a pair on the final day, with extra trips diagrammed to meet demand.  Hundreds of people turned out for the occasion to witness the last main line service day of a first generation DMU, which was introduced in 1960.  More details will appear in the august issue.
